Logo Printing Options
Every product has varying logo imprint options and imprint areas. Some products can be printed on both sides while others are 1-sided. Certain imprint options (like laser engraving and heat stamping) are only available on select models. Please check an individual product page to view the imprint options/areas available for a specific model.
Below are sample images of the various imprint options we use to customize your products. Please check with your Smartstor agent in order to determine which imprint option below is available for the USB product you are interested in. If your logo includes a specific Pantone color(s), simply notify us when placing your order so we can maintain the integrity of your company colors. If you cannot provide us with a Pantone color (PMS), we will simply match your color on a best efforts basis.
Artwork
If you do not have access to a vector-based Artwork/Logo file (Photoshop or Illustrator file), Smartstor USB offers graphic design services. For a small setup fee ($50), we will recreate your artwork into an acceptable vector file for printing onto USB drives. We will keep your artworl in your file for future uses, so you don't have to.
What is the best file format for my logo/artwork?
The best way to ensure that your logo is reproduced at the highest quality on our products is to provide your artwork in vector format. Vector files can be scaled to any size and still retain the same high quality resolution. On this basis, our preferred format for your artwork is outlined below:
- .eps – Encapsulated Postscript (Adobe Illustrator / Adobe Photoshop / Corel Draw)
- .ai – Adobe Illustrator
- .pdf Portable Document Format (Adobe Acrobat Reader)

Pad/Silk screen printing
- Most common printing type with usb drives
- Print up to 4 colours on one side
- White, silver, black, etc. are considered colors
- Pantone Matching is available

- Works with most products
- Required for graphics with gradients and blending
- Looks best on light-colored products
- Great for photographic elements
Laser Engraving
- For metal surfaces only
- Longest lasting option
- Sharp & polished customization
- Results may vary depending on the complexity of your logo
- Can be performed on metal usb models or metal gift boxes
